Our Story

 

In 2005, at the peak of the real estate bubble, Tony embarked on a real estate adventure with aspirations of becoming a successful flipper. Alongside a friend, they purchased their first property. Eager to make their mark, they quickly acquired a second property with grand plans of remodeling it themselves and flipping it within three months.


However, reality had other plans. What was supposed to be a 3-month remodel turned into a challenging 7-month journey. The duo put the property on the market during the 4th of July weekend in 2006, just as the real estate market began to take an unexpected turn. As months passed, they found themselves paying two mortgages, and the property remained unsold.


In a turn of events, Tony and their partner became accidental landlords, renting the property for an amount that didn't cover all the expenses. The real estate market continued to shift, presenting new challenges. After two years of navigating the complexities of being landlords, they decided to sell the property. In a display of adaptability and resourcefulness, they chose to sell the property as "For Sale By Owner," ultimately incurring a $40,000 loss. It could have been much worse.


Despite the setbacks and challenges, this experience ignited Tony's passion for real estate. Rather than deterring them, it inspired them to learn and grow within the industry, understanding that the real estate market is full of opportunities for those who are willing to adapt and persevere.
